Kamui Ski Links

Japan’s best local ski resort

Kamui stands as the premier resort in Northern Hokkaido, earning its reputation as the top ‘local’s’ ski destination in the country. The resort’s distinction lies in its exceptional dry powder, a unique feature attributed to its inland location. The staff at Kamui proudly assert that the powder found here is unquestionably among the finest.

A noteworthy 32% of the resort comprises of ungroomed courses, providing skiers and riders with the opportunity to revel in the premium snow conditions. The early morning tranquility ensures that, following a substantial snowfall, nearly a third of the mountain remains untouched, adorned with pristine powder and awaiting enthusiasts.

In terms of powder quality, volume, and accessibility, Kamui emerges as a strong contender for the title of the best local ski destination in Japan.
